We hope everyone had a great time on at March Madness! The baskets were a hit, our room parents really went above and beyond! We raised almost $4,000 from them, thanks to YOUR donations! We couldn’t have done it without our GBI parents and their generous basket donations. Every cent that the PTA raises during the school year goes directly back to your students and our amazing school!
Thank you to Deputy Spruill for being our guest of honor and pulling the winning tickets for us! Thank you to Great Bridge High School for letting us use their gym, their PTSA for providing concessions, Mr Alexander for being our announcer, the RockCats for their special appearance, the volunteer referees and score keeper from the GBH basketball team, our own GBI staff for helping us store the baskets and having them ready for us to transport on Thursday (and Mrs Sabbato who graciously let us stow 30 baskets in her office for weeks), the awesome parent and grandparent volunteers that were willing to miss some of the game to help us out, the 4th grade choir, and of course the 5th grade team, cheerleaders, and staff teams!
Thank you to everyone that donated to help Mrs Hall and her family and everyone that signed her poster! If you didn’t get a chance, there is a pinned post from Mrs Cahill with the information to make a donation
I’d also like to thank my amazing PTA team! Everyone played a vital role in this event and helped it run as smoothly as possible. It was definitely a labor of love but so worth it!
Check out this year's amazing baskets:
